Posting a Job on the MPA Job Board

Connecting Psychiatrists and Montana Organizations

Our mission is to bridge the gap between skilled psychiatrists and organizations dedicated to improving mental health in Montana. By fostering strong connections between these professionals and local organizations, we aim to strengthen the mental health workforce and support the well-being of communities across the state.

We are offering free postings on our job board for the remainder of 2025. No strings attached. No credit card required.

Job Posting Policy Statement

Mission Alignment:

We are dedicated to advancing opportunities that align with our core mission of enhancing mental health and well-being across Montana. As such, we reserve the right to decline any job posting that does not align with this mission. All job opportunities posted must support the health, safety, and overall quality of life for Montanans.

Physician Focus:

We will only accept job postings that pertain to positions for MDs or DOs.  To learn more about psychiatrists, please read "The Strategic Value of Psychiatrists" below.

Geographic Focus:

To maintain our focus on Montana’s communities, we only permit job postings for positions that directly benefit Montana residents. Job postings that do not have a direct impact on the people of Montana will be declined.

Approval Process:

Every job posting will go through an approval process to ensure compliance with our mission and geographic focus. We will review each submission and notify the posting party of whether their job listing has been approved or if any adjustments are necessary.

Exceptions:

In specific cases, we may allow out-of-state organizations or national companies to post positions if they specifically serve Montanans. This includes jobs offering telehealth services or remote positions that provide care to Montana residents.

The Strategic Value of Psychiatrists

Enhancing Your Healthcare Team

In today's competitive healthcare landscape, attracting and retaining top talent requires a comprehensive approach to patient and employee well-being. Psychiatrists offer a unique and valuable asset to your organization, addressing the growing mental health needs of both patients and staff.

Attracting Top Physician Talent

Psychiatrists represent the highest level of expertise in mental health, making them highly sought-after professionals. Offering psychiatrist positions demonstrates your organization's commitment to providing comprehensive and advanced medical care. The demand for mental health services is rising. Recruiting psychiatrists positions your organization as a leader in addressing critical healthcare needs.

Enhancing Employee Well-being and Productivity

Psychiatrists can contribute to employee wellness programs, providing valuable expertise in stress management, mental health awareness, and crisis intervention. This can improve employee morale, reduce absenteeism, and increase productivity. Providing mental health support can also reduce employee burnout and increase retention.

Improving Patient Care and Outcomes

Psychiatrists' expertise in medication management and psychotherapy ensures that patients receive the highest quality of care, improving outcomes and patient satisfaction. Collaborative Care models, led by psychiatrists, streamline patient care and improve access to mental health services, enhancing your organization's reputation. Services such as these demonstrate your organization’s commitment to holistic care.

Financial Benefits and ROI

Collaborative Care models have demonstrated a significant return on investment, with studies showing substantial cost savings through improved patient outcomes and reduced healthcare utilization with $6.50 saved (IMPACT study: Unutzer et al., Am J Managed Care, 2008). Improving employee mental health reduces costs associated with absenteeism and healthcare costs.

Risk Management and Compliance

Psychiatrists play a crucial role in managing complex mental health cases, reducing the risk of adverse events, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Providing access to psychiatric care can mitigate potential liabilities related to patient and employee mental health and well-being. Psychiatrists provide essential crisis intervention skills, which is invaluable in emergencies and for dealing with at-risk patients.
